雄黄Realgar

雄黄晶体属单斜晶系的硫化物矿物，又名“鸡冠石”。单晶体呈不规则块状，大小不一，短柱状 一般以粒状或块状集合体产出。雌黄具有极其艳丽的颜色和光泽，粗大晶体十分稀少;常与透明的方解石、橙黄色的雌黄共生，更显得绚丽多姿。雄黄常呈橘红色，条痕呈淡橘红色，与辰砂相似。

Realgar, also known as “CockscombStone” , is a member of the monoclinicsulfide mineral family. Its monocrystalsare in irregular lumps, cylindersor particles.Realgar crystals havefamboyant colors and lusters and are ofvarying sizes. They often co-exist withtransparent calcite and orange coloredorpiment. Similar to cinnabar, realgaroften shows orange red color with lightorange red color veins.

中国湖南慈利和石门交界的界牌峪为世界雄黄产地之最。我国发现的最大雄黄晶体，产于湖南石门，长8厘米，宽5.4厘米，高3.5厘米，重255.3克，为世界罕见，现收藏于北京大学地质陈列馆。

Jiepaiyu, located at the border areabetween Cili City and Shimen CityHunan Province, is the largest productionarea of realgar in the world. The largestpiece of realgar crystalloid was foundin Shimen City, Hunan province. This 8 centimeters long, 5.4 centimeters wide,3.5 centimeters high realgar crystalloidpiece weighs 255.3 grams, very rarelyseen in the world. It is now kept in theGeology Pavilion of Beijing Universityin China.
